| Me and Momma.

Do you remember some of the stories your parents, grandparents, or family members use to tell? Some of the stories were humorous, tragic, or even frightening, but they all had some sort of meaning. Send it in! Here's one of the many stories that my Momma (Aunt Helen/Deannie) told. Well, check this one out!
There was this woman who had her granddaughter staying with her for the summer. While the child was there, the grandmother took to her bed sick and running a fever. The fever had taken over the grandmother and all she could say was, I'm so thirsty, if only I could have a drink of cold water. The child hearing this, saw a cup on the night stand by the bed, she took the cup and got her grandmother some water. The grandmother drank the water down. Later on she asked her granddaughter, please get me some more of that cold water that you got me before, so the child went and got some more water. The next day when grandmother awoke, her fever had broken and she was feeling fine. So, she called to her granddaughter, who was five years old, she said "Baby", that water you gave me yesterday really helped gramma feel better and it was so cold. How did you get the water?....you're too small to open the refrigerator and too short to reach the faucet! The child looked at her grandmother and said...."I got it from the fountain"! The grandmother said, what fountain? She took her grandmother's hand and led her to the bathroom and pointed to the toilet and said to her grandma "that fountain gramma"!
And the moral to this story is...children are so precious so your better keep your toilet real clean because you never know what fountain you'll be drinking from!
Love you all. Lawanna
